Dates

Date palms can live as long as 150 years and grow between 15 and 25 meters tall. The first fruit appears when the tree is eight years old and the tree will continue to produce fruit for another twenty years.

 

Not only are dates delicious, they are nutritious, too. Dates are mostly sugar but are also full of useful minerals such as iron, potassium, and calcium. The fruits also contain many vitamins and are a good source of fiber. Check out the recipes below for some deliciously nutritious ways to enjoy dates!
